Meet Our Team

Nicole Yao

I came to the UK to continue my study on intercultural communication at The University of Sheffield after my first degree on Chinese Linguistics. After that, I worked as an International Liaison Officer in an independent in York for 3 years- during which, I was inspired to teach as I recognised how much difference that the teachers made to individuals.

Therefore I joined UCL IOE and completed my PGCE training there successfully. I have enjoyed teaching Mandarin and have had good times with all my pupils.

In my spare time, I like to do yoga and read as a way of relaxation. I also enjoy travelling with friends to explore different parts of the world.

Jenny Mao

Hello, I am Jenny Mao. I am a Native speaker in Mandarin from the United Kingdom and am very fluent in English. I am a verified Chinese teacher through London PGCE courses in London Goldsmiths University, and have attended many training conferences and seminars. I have been teaching Chinese for nearly 15 years.

I am also an enthusiastic professional early years practitioner and have valuable skills, knowledge and experiences from working with young children. I can connect with young children and provide interesting, fun and creative Chinese classes by using different resources and techniques. I am dedicated and passionate in teaching Chinese and enjoy keeping young students motivated, providing encouragement where necessary.

In my spare time, I like to play table tennis and sing.
