GCSE and Cambridge Pre-U School Performance

Congratulations to the GCSE class on a fantastic set of results. 53% of our students were awarded an A* and 74% a grade A* or A. Some 95% of all GCSE taken were awarded an A* – C grade. 9 students, just under half of the class, achieved almost full marks with at least 295/300, two of whom attained perfect 300/300 scores. Bearing in mind GCSEs are usually taken by children who are at least 16 years old, our students who are on average 13 years old have produced a tremendous performance.

GCSE students are the only ones to impress, our Cambridge Pre U class have achieved results which we have never seen before in our School! Within the principal course we had students achieve Merits and Distinctions. In particular two students attaining D1, the highest grade possible, providing more UCAS points than even an A* A level. Another of their classmates achieved an impressive D2 grade, the equivalent of an A* A level. As with our GCSE students our Cambridge Pre-U students are sitting this exam at a young age. Designed for pupils who are on or nearing their 18th birthday, our students are on average only 15 years old! The achievements of these students will certainly go on to enhance their chances of securing their chosen university, when they reach the age of application.

All of these results are testament to the hard work, dedication and maturity of our students, and to the support of their parents, and of course our tireless teaching staff. We would like to thank you all for the support that saw your children fulfil their potential!
